It's hard to find words to express how happy my tummy is! This, my second visit to River Oaks Cafe, confirms every impression I had at first: This is the Very Finest in "Home Cooking" outside of Grandma's Kitchen. Maybe finer. Hidden away and tucked between small shops and businesses, almost unnoticed in a very unimposing Shopping Strip off the River Oaks main drag, is a Ft Worth Culinary Treasure! I could brag about the tender and tasty Cat Fish Filet or the Crisp and Savory Chicken-Fried Steak. I could compose Sonnets about the Scrumptious Fried Okra and Delectable Cole Slaw; all of which are true. But today I sing the praises of the Most Amazing Pinto Beans Side this tongue has ever tasted. I do not consider it hyperbole to claim these beans as Blue Ribbon-State Fair Quality! I would have gladly accompanied these words with photos but no morsels would remain on my plate long enough for such pictorial. You simply must go. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
