Besides Crosslake Historic Village, visit Riverside Inn in the vicinity. Do not leave without trying perfectly cooked fish sandwiches, lobster bisque and walleye. You can share tasty ice cream with your friends and spend a nice time here.
Sitting on the terrace, you can enjoy a great view. A number of reviewers have noticed that the staff is cool at this restaurant. People say that the service is good here. The best thing I can say about this establishment is that our waitress was very chipper and attentive given she was the only one there. We had 4 entrees on a Friday night. One was a ribeye which while probably the best meal was not cooked properly. 2 of us had the Friday fish fry, it was all you can’t eatit was ALL I could do to eat what I was given the first plate. It was just NOT good. The last dish was a petite sirloin that was to be cooked mid-rare and it was very over done and dry. In summary, the atmosphere was mostly pleasant, the cook and the server were a bit loud goofing around a couple of times, the service was decent enough but the prices for ANY menu item in my opinion were exorbitant. Make good food, you might be able to lower your prices a bit to prevent sticker shock and probably even bring more patrons in. We, all 4 would not recommend dining here. Perfect old fashioneds, amazing chicken, friendly staff, generous portions, casual atmosphere. Everything you want in a supper club. Plus a great view! We saw 11 deer and a bald eagle during our meal. Highly recommend. We came to Riverside Inn in we went to Riverside Inn for dinner last night. I've been to other restaurants in Cross Lake many times, but haven't had the opportunity to try Riverside inn. I've been missing out!!Teri was our server and she was a pro!! I had the walleye and lobster bisque soup. Both were out of this world! The au gratin potatoes were pretty darn good as well!! I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and will even go so far as to say it is the best in the area! We will definitely recommend and return!!
