No place like Home Sweet Home Chicago, This is the next best thing. I definitely got a taste from home, not only in food, but the smell and atmosphere. Parking: Please park in correct side of lot. I have been excited for the last 2 years to eat at Rocco's Little Chicago. Sunday, March 5, 2023 was the day to finally eat here! My husband, our close friends from Wisconsin & myself arrived at 6:00 p.m. We were told there was a 30 minute wait. Rocco's was extraordinarily busy for a Sunday evening. We waited over 40 minutes & we understood as we patiently waited our turn. There was a party of 4 people that arrived approximately at 6:40 pm. Another 5 minutes go by & they were seated before us!!! We couldn't believe it! We finally were seated a few minutes later. Our waitress didn't introduce herself. She seemed friendly though she did not have a strong grasp of the drink menu. My husband & I ordered a thin crust, 2 topping pizza & our friends ordered a medium 4-meat deep dish pizza. Our thin crust pizza was over baked/borderline burnt. We would've sent it back, but I didn't wanna wait another 30 minutes for a pizza. The deep dish pizza looked delicious, but our friends commented that it wasn't very warm, but they weren't willing to send it back either. When it came time for the check, apparently our original waitress was on "a break". She never did come by and ask us if we wanted a refill of water or another beer or how was our food. We asked her for separate checks, and when the other waitress came by, she gave us the entire check and not separated. The guy working the cash register, seem very confused by creating two separate checks. Another five minutes went by before we could even get a to go box. This was not a very good impression for a first time experience. There was very little all-around teamwork. I highly suggest a more organized way of seating patients when you have a lot of people present. I was just so disappointed, especially since I really talked up this restaurant to my husband into our friends. The only reason why I do if you one star is because the deep dish actually looked really phenomenal.
