It's time to try perfectly cooked grilled cheese and good cheese sandwiches. Trying the delicious wine is a nice idea. Great latte is offered at this bar.

Live music is played by musicians in the evening. The attentive staff welcomes guests all year round. The cool service is something these restaurateurs care about. When you enter this place, you feel the lovely atmosphere.

Very sad to see that the Rock House has closed down their coffee shop operation to focus more on music instruction. I'll definitely miss this place.

Super bummed the RockHouse - ground floor coffee shop - is closing as of Tues 4/30/19. They're making space for their extremely successful music school (that currently resides upstairs - 1st Fl (Am. 2nd ;-) ) The coffee shop was (is till Tues) terrific. As a regular I enjoyed quickly-brewed-but-consistently-terrific coffee (large extra-shot latter for here + 3 sugars (sweetest tooth)) ...  The service was professional but warm and the customers - diverse bunch of mums / en-route commuters / local store owners pre-open / work-remote folks w laptops and blah blah. I'm pissed off, truth be known, that the choices now will be bloody Starbucks or drive down to the pretty-decent coffee shops in Evanston on Central. Hmm. Choices. Anyway - wish the owner / proprietor / the very best with the rock school but also a semi-serious two-fingered salute for shutting the coffee shop down. Ggrrr. Nuttin' is forever.

Charming, clean, and cozy. I was lucky to score a table for a coffee meeting last week. I chose Rock House, because I wanted to support a local business rather than a chain, but I almost selected the chain restaurant since I was worried about seating. I'm so glad I chose independent and locally-owned, because as soon as I walked in someone left. I scored the perfect corner spot! I ordered a vanilla latte and apple fritter from nearby Lawrence Deans. Both were excellent and memorable. Though there was music playing in the background, it was quiet enough to allow for conversation. Take note...there isn't a lot of privacy here. Tables are fairly close together with a few private areas. My recommendation is to come at an off hour, because seating is somewhat limited. They offer karaoke, music lessons upstairs at their music school, and parking is out front and I found a spot without a problem. Service was nice but not over the top outgoing. The staff seemed a little scattered when we were there, but we did go at a busy time. I will be back for sure! **Bathrooms are clean and cute.
