Unfortunately, it wasn't a great experience We came from Rijeka with high expectations because of the good reviews, but we were disappointed by the slow service. We arrived at 16:30, ordered drinks and entrees that took 40 minutes to be ready. After that, we waited until 18:00 for the pasta, which still wasn't ready. We needed to leave because we had an appointment in Rijeka, so we told the waitress we would rather have it as takeaway since it was taking too long. She explained that the service there is intentionally paced so people don't feel rushed, and she apologized. Our food to takeaway was ready at 18:15, almost two hours after we arrived. It felt like a long wait for a dish of pasta Once we got home, we tried the ravioli with truffles, and it wasn't anything special. We've had tastier ones at Agroturizam Nežić and Konoba Danijelis in Istria, and the portion was on the smaller side. Regarding the platter we ordered as an entree, that was really good and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, something positive is that they gave us a slice of cake to take away as an apology. We were really excited about this place and left feeling sad about the experience. I understand that this is not fast food and I don't mind waiting some time, but we felt that 1 hour and 45 minutes to get the pasta ready was a really long wait. We had a wonderful dining experience at Ročka Konoba, beautifully located in the charming village of Roč. From the very beginning, everything was excellent...the atmosphere, the service and most importantly the food. For the appetizer, the staff prepared a sharing platter for four, featuring some of the most interesting dishes from the menu - beef tongue salad, scrambled eggs with truffles and Razdrte Mudante that were especially delicious. For the main course, the choice was just as impressive. We opted for beef meatballs with truffles, fuži with truffles and pork ribs cooked with Malvazija wine and honey. Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The desserts were also excellent and made for a perfect ending to the meal. Our waitress presented each dish with care and had also given us very good recommendations earlier in the meal. Ročka Konoba is definitely a place we would happily return to and highly recommend to anyone visiting Roč and the surrounding area. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €40–45
