A truly memorable stay at Hotel Cap Polonio. This is much more than just a hotel – it is a place filled with history and character, and I would even call it one of the most beautiful hotels in the entire Pinneberg region. What made my visit especially special was meeting the owner, a wonderfully talkative, wise gentleman who took the time to share the fascinating story behind the hotel. Listening to how the hotel was named after the legendary ocean liner Cap Polonio and how original first-class deck furniture from the famous luxury ship became part of the hotel’s interior made the experience unforgettable. You can genuinely feel that this house preserves a remarkable piece of maritime history. The original furnishings from the 1920s give the ballroom and many public areas a unique atmosphere that you rarely find today. The rooms are comfortable, the entire property is well maintained, and the peaceful location next to the Fahlt forest makes it an excellent place to relax. Unfortunately, I could not try the restaurant because it was closed for Betriebsferien. However, I learned that the hotel regularly hosts exceptional gourmet evenings and tasting events featuring renowned guest chefs, which definitely gives me another reason to return. If you appreciate hotels with personality, authentic hospitality, and a story behind every corner, Hotel Cap Polonio is absolutely worth visiting. I am already looking forward to coming back—hopefully next time with the restaurant open!
