Why is Romans Fry Inn fish and chips only £8.20?. It can't be as good as the other award winning chip shops. The fish and chips are as good as any I've had on the Wirral. The difference is Roman fish and chips come in a low cost clamb shell rather than a printed cardboard box telling you how many awards they have won. Cost of the box £1-2. I went in after 9pm , everyone was cleaning. I will be back. Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5

A huge shout out to Edmund and his team especially Alex, Arnis, Jess and Sophia -recently had the pleasure of experiencing the fantastic service from Roman's fry inn as they prepared 50 plus fish and chips for a church meal. From start to finish, their team demonstrated an incredible commitment to quality and community spirit. Inspire of the rush hour, the team demonstrated calm under pressure which was impressive. The fish and chips were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Each portion was generous, and the fish was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. The chips were golden and seasoned to perfection, complementing the fish wonderfully. What stood out the most was the team’s kindness and willingness to go the extra mile. They ensured that everything was ready on time and even took the time to check in with us to make sure we had everything we needed for the meal. Their dedication to serving the community truly shone through. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at for their hard work and generosity. It made our church meal a memorable occasion, and we can't wait to order from them again in the future! Highly recommended!
