We have been wanting to try this place for a while, and let me tell you it did not disappoint! The food was so good! One thing we loved is that you don’t have to order just off the meal train menu — they have a full menu packed with delicious options. The chicken tenders and loaded fries were AWESOME! Everything tasted fresh and home cooked, and you can definitely tell they put love into the food. If you haven’t checked them out yet, you definitely should. You won’t be disappointed! I hate leaving bad reviews..I truly do. Never have I been to a restaurant where I ordered food and it was so bad that I was unwilling to eat it. Its memorial day weekend so I should start with no restaurant should be out of food. You should be more than prepared for the possibility of a large crowd. I grew up as a teenager and young adult in the restaurant business, both small mom and pop and large chain. It was my husband, daughter and myself. I ordered the country fried steak with Mac and cheese and fried apples and biscuit. My husband ordered brisket with Mac and cheese, baked beans and cornbread because he was told they were out of hushpuppies. My daughter ordered Mac and cheese and apples. The waitress was nice and I could tell she was embarrassed but came to the table and apologized and said they were out of country fried steak so I changed to meatloaf. She then comes back and says we are out of biscuits so I say cornbread. She then comes back and tells my husband they are out of baked beans so he gets cabbage. Im not a huge picky eater but southern food is a skill and if im going to pay 15 dollars for a plate, its my highest hope its at least edible. I took one bite of my Mac and cheese and it tasted like it came out of box and it was cold. I tried the apples and they had no cinnamon, no juice, no flavor and also luke warm to almost cold. I tried the meatloaf and it pushed grease and not good and also almost cold. I tried the corn bread and nearly choked. I put my fork down and pushed my plate to the side. Had the waitress ever come back I would have kindly asked that my meal be removed but I dont like confrontation either so I dealt with it. My husband's brisket was nearly cold and flavorless..he hated the Mac and cheese but dealt with it. My daughter didnt mind the Mac and cheese or apples but shes 6 and she likes box Mac and cheese anyway. She said hers was warm so I was just thankful she ate it and did not mind. Unfortunately never again will I come back to this establishment. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
