So, I hate to write a bad review especially as the food was generally good, but the service was a total fiasco. We arrived at 7.30 and didn’t receive our main courses until 9.45 because their chef “dropped the ticket.” Now normally I’d give the benefit of the doubt and they comped our appetizers, but here’s the thing. There were at least three people serving a dining room that isn’t large. I had to get up and ask to put in drink orders, then get up to ask to take our food orders, then get up to tell them we had finished our appetizer 15 minutes ago, at which point the server looked confused, coming back 5 minutes later to say they lost our table mains. That was nearly 2 hours into the meal! So, I kinda don’t know what to say. Either a mysterious vortex surrounded our table, or they just didn’t like us, or it is consistent failure to be attentive, but it was a bust of a dinner. The cherry on top? Shortly after getting our mains (after waiting well over 2 hours) we were informed we needed to rush to put in a dessert order as “the kitchen is closing!” Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

We really can’t sit here and make excuses, especially for such an established restaurant. Sometimes the kitchen loses a ticket but that doesn’t excuse the forgotten next course and any kind of rush at the end. Please reach out to us directly and ask to speak to our owner. We would love to rectify what we can and the only thing that keeps us in business is our customers and the drive to serve you. We hope you have the heart for a second chance and we are glad you enjoyed the food when served More

Great service and homey feel but the only things the four of us would eat again were the stuffed piquillo peppers and the famous cauliflower. They mentioned when they sat us that the menu was close to being rotated so maybe our timing wasn’t great but it was a Saturday night. The venison meatballs and rye bread dumplings were particularly gray, damp and uninspiring. The mussels would have been great except they were served almost dry in a shallow puddle of delicious white wine sauce so that garlic aioli could be applied to each one which was totally unnecessary. Thank you for your review Mr. Betts. I’m not sure when you wrote this but we haven’t had oysters on the menu for over 3 months. Hope to get you back for a re-do and we appreciate you giving us feedback.

Thank you Kevin! And the staff at Roost! My husband and I threw a very small and intimate wedding dinner here (40pp) and Kevin and his staff provided a wonderful dinner and evening for us. The food was GOOD from beginning to end. And the drinks were generously poured throughout the entire evening. He made it EASY on us. This is not a white glove service but it’s easy, chill, great and awesome. If you’re into that, it’s the place for you. And Kevin went out of his way to provide the service we wanted. Thank you, thank you! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
