Rooted has quickly become our favorite my favorite spot in Minooka. From the moment we sat down, the atmosphere struck the perfect balance — warm and welcoming but still polished enough for a special night out. We started with the cantaloupe salad and the carrot salad, and both were phenomenal; you can tell they're serious about sourcing good ingredients and not cutting corners. For entrees, the NY strip with sauce was cooked exactly to temp - excellent!. We finished with the with a trio of desserts; peach shortcake, chess pie and cheesecake, all of which might be the best desserts I've had all year. Chef Eddie clearly puts real care into this menu — every dish felt thoughtful rather than thrown together. Service was attentive without hovering, and the cocktail list was every bit as creative as the food. Rooted is proof that you don't have to drive into the city for a genuinely great farm-to-table meal. I will be back soon and highly recommend it to anyone in the Minooka/Channahon area looking for something special on any day! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $40–50
