Most guests recommend trying nicely cooked breakfast sandwiches, tomato soup and vegetarian burritos. Come here and degust good waffles, acai bowls and biscuits. The whole impression won't be complete without Mimosas that is delicious here. Drink great smoothies, chai latte or juice, it's a must while visiting this bar.

This is our favorite, favorite, favorite restaurant! So much plant-based deliciousness — It is always our first choice for lunch on birthdays, etc and we especially love the smoothies, salads, buffalo wrap, and breakfast sandwiches!!! Beyond the food, the local, cheerful, open air, dog-friendly, plants-everywhere, relaxed & creative vibe, and easy rail trail access are just fabulous. Thank you to the amazing, inspired, hard-working chef and owner. She has created a gem! She catered a bridal event for us and was great to work with, too. We love Rooted + Rind! Really love this place, but they are literally never open. They treat this place like a hobby and not a real business. The inconsistent hours are incredibly frustrating and disruptive. It feels like every time I plan to stop by, they’re unexpectedly closed. The explanation is almost always that they’re “short-handed,” which honestly raises the question: why don’t any of the staff stay? As a business owner myself, I’m genuinely shocked that this place has managed to exist this long operating this way. What’s even more disappointing is that when customers express concerns, the owner often responds in a rude and dismissive manner rather than taking the feedback seriously. To make matters worse, the sandwich board is constantly left out front advertising that they’re open, even when the business is clearly closed. It’s misleading and wastes customers’ time. Which really sucks, because where else am I supposed to get a vegan breakfast sandwich? The food is great, and I’d love to support this place more often, but the unreliable hours, poor communication, and unprofessional responses make it increasingly difficult. Hi Kathleen, I own this business alone and sometimes life outside of the business has to take precedent. As a business owner yourself, shouldn’t you be understanding of that? You have no idea what is going on in my life - this is not just a hobby. Leaving a one star review only makes it harder for us to survive. Also, the business hours are always updated here on Google so that we don’t waste anyone’s time. I am doing my best to continue to provide you with your vegan breakfast sandwiches. I hope you consider removing your review if you love us like you claim to.

We ordered the thai bowl. Found that the kale was very moldy. Also ordered the basil tomato soup with grilled cheese. The tomato soup was brown and watery tasted nothing like tomato soup. The grilled cheese in the sandwich was like whiz cheese. Definitely not a real cheese. When returning the bowl with the mold. No apologies were made. Got a refund for it but absolutely no customer service. I would give it a minus 1 star if possible. Price per person: $40–50 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Hi Anita, As I responded to your dining companion’s review, it was one piece of moldy kale. That is not an excuse for it being served (I take full responsibility for that), but to leave a public review stating the kale was “very moldy” is misleading when the salad was mostly eaten. A mistake was made and the salad was refunded. I wasn’t informed of issues with any other food items, so I do apologize you did not like your grilled cheese combo. Our soup is made from scratch - we even slow roast our own tomatoes. The color is brownish from fresh basil which is cooked down with the roasted tomatoes and blended to make the soup base. We are a small business that works very hard to provide a healthy, quality product. I apologize again if that was not your experience today.
