4 stars because the Sea Lions are 4 stars, and all the other parts of Roscoe Square would be a 2 star tourist trap-don't recommend. But the Sea Lions make up for everything else, and I'd recommend this place just for that reasons. One of my favorite things in IL that's a must do for an out of towner, and though I rarely go on my frequent Bay Area business trips, I will once in a long while and it never gets old watching them bark at each other, jump out of the water and climb all over the other sleeping sea lions who in turn bark at them, etc. Sometimes there's a lot of them, sometimes there aren't....either way, it's worth the quick stop especially if you're an animal lover.
