I hesistated about writing a review but after reading both new and old reviews (even if under new management) I want to share my experience which makes sense given a recent review of a lady who also had a baby! First and foremostly, my decaf coffee was burnt and the bacon and egg ciabiatta roll with relish (very sugary) was just average. I really ossiliated in saying soemthing about the coffee but was really off put and a little intimated by the owner. My poor experience is as follows! I walked in the door with my pram and very quiet baby inside the pram. The lady (assuming owner) greeted me abruptly and looked concerned that I had a pram. She then asked if it was dine in or take away. I just wanted take away. She said we have a take away window (which I didn’t see). She took my order inside anyway and I then asked if they had a cup of water, to which she said no, but you can buy one. Totally fine, however, her manner was already very off and the cafe was pretty empty so a glass of tap water really could’ve been arranged if she wanted to. She then ushered me outside to wait for my order. She kind of made me feel embarrassed for walking inside the cafe with a pram - not cool. Quite confused at this behaviour but wouldn’t recommend due to not only the poor food but the frosty service! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $20–40

We came here for a late breakfast with our family, 3 kids and a baby. In the first minute, while standing at the “please wait to be seated sign” , we were barked at and spoken to rudely by who I think is the owner, to move out of the way with our pram. No accomodation was made to sit inside even though there were tables available, so we sat outside in the cold. Eventually we asked a waitress to find us a table and we moved inside. 20 min in, our child was unsettled and making some noise, so while trying to get him out of his chair and settle him, the same owner came and asked us to take him outside, literally while we were settling him. The food was average and portions are small. We paid $120 to have an average breakfast, made to feel unwelcome and spoken to rudely. In an area littered with great breakfast options, the Old Rosebud would be my absolute last choice. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $20–40 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Hi Mina! Thanks for stopping by! We love welcoming families. As we mentioned when you came in, every table inside was full so we asked if you'd be ok to sit outside - you said yes and asked that we let you know when a table became free inside - which we did, then your family moved inside. When your child was screaming loudly for around 10 mins and we had other guests complaining that it was hurting their ears we simply asked if you would be open to taking the one child outside to walk him around until he settles and then come back in. Sadly you didn't enjoy Rosebud but we wish you all the best! Rosebud Team
