Ordered the masala dosa, lamb chettinad with roti. I kid you not there was absolutely no flavor! The lamb shank was cooked really well but it was so bland (don’t let the “curry” sauce fool you.) Honestly if you have a well seasoned palette the masala dosa and lamb chettinad is not for you. Indian cuisine is a balance between flavor and spice. These two dishes lacked both. The waiter did bring me a concoction of “spicy” sauce on the side after he told me their food is not spicy. Overall this was a disappointing birthday meal. A solid restaurant from the Knightsbridge Restaurant Group. Lovely atmosphere. Good food. Not over the top pricing. Would be 5 stars all around but the night I went (party of 6 for a birthday celebration) kitchen timing was way off—always a lagging appetizer or entree, breads arrived almost after we finished our meal, desserts were so tardy that we cancelled them. Was it staffing issue? Varied menu. Everything well prepared. Would certainly return for the food. Well just looking at the menu, its not real representation of Malabar, Im writing this review to show my frustration on that and not really being there. Thats all I wana say.. If you do Kerala, go all in, we have tonnes of dishes which need attention
