We stopped by Restaurant Roth and ordered the Wiener Schnitzel (veal) with potato and lamb’s lettuce salad. The portion size was certainly generous and the presentation was tidy, with a fresh slice of lemon and a crisp-looking salad on the side. Unfortunately, while the schnitzel was cooked to a nice golden crisp, the flavour was lacking. The meat itself was tender enough, but the overall taste was quite bland, even with a squeeze of lemon. The salad was fresh but didn’t add much to lift the dish. For the price, we expected a bit more seasoning and flavour to make the schnitzel truly stand out. It was not bad, but it was also not especially memorable compared to other schnitzels we have tried in Vienna. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €30–40
