I’m originally from western VA, but I’ve been in CO for many years. Rougarou brought back some flavors I haven’t experienced in a long time. The pimento cheese was just the right spice level, and came with delicious crackers, and the blue cheese tart was very unique and delicious. We also really enjoyed the house salad. For our entrees, we did the hot and sour catfish (I haven’t had catfish in forever) and the fried chicken, which reminded me of the slow roasted bbq chicken I used to get at a rural church bbq. Deliciously tangy and peppery. Then we finished with the sorghum sundae. I plan to come back as many times as it takes to work through the rest of the menu. One of my new favorite spots in Denver. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $70–80

I don't know what to say other than this is one of Denver's most exciting new restaurants, and now a personal favorite. The food, drinks, service--everything about the place is excellent and offered at a shockingly reasonable price. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
