I cannot say enough good things about the food and service that we got from Royal grocers and kitchen (Maharaja foods in Niles) . They came to Iowa and cooked in a tent for a wedding for 200 guests. Malayalee food only was requested. They followed the menu and all the small details that we asked for exactly. We gave 100 to 200 people five meals over the course of three days, all different cuisines and this was the highlight. All our guests are stilltalking about it I cannot imagine why anyone would order anything but Mallu food from this group . Even in Kerala, it is hard to get such tasty catered food. Everything tasted fresh The meats were soft, tender, cooked to perfection. Shrimp was not rubery and overcooked Parattas were flaky and soft. Nothing was greasy or oily. Even though a lot of the food was requested not spicy due to a mixed gathering, it was still tasty and the spicy things were extremely tasty. Food was plentiful, nothing ran out, served exactly on time. It is expensive to have a team come all the way from Chicago to Iowa to cook and serve food but it was worth it. As wedding planners, we rely on professional vendors to execute events for our couples. We worked with Royal Grocers to cater a wedding welcome party in Iowa. It's impressive that they were able to travel and cook on-site for this event. Our team member Aly said, "It was amazing!! They were so easy to work with, efficient, and respectful. I’ve never had Indian food before and everything I tasted was incredible." We appreciate all of their efforts so much and hope to work with them again soon!
