06/19/26 Opening our cups of coleslaw in each order of our fish/chips... 5 people "working" and no one could make more coleslaw and/or fill the cups full?? Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

Rubios has improved its fish! We went this weekend for fish tacos and the fish and chips plate and were surprised by the improved qualify of its fish, it was fresh, lightly breaded and the bread was light and golden, I think this made up for a better flavor in our tacos my kid had the fish and chips plate and he is very picky. Had the fish would have been slightly burnt he would not have eaten it, however it was just golden perfect and the churros of you are not at Disneyland and u are missing churros. For only $3.29 u get a hot fresh delicious churro , if u haven't been to Rubios this may be the perfect time to return, enjoy Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section

My food was ok. the place was clean....I thought. As I'm eating my food 3 people with 2 large dogs sit close to us. Ruined my conversation with my wife, all I could think about was how these people think it's ok to bring dogs into a restaurant and sit down to eat. Before you get all huffy puffy about "they were service animals" they were not. 1 did have a vest but it was a cutesy vest, not a service dog vest. I think it's discussing having to hear a dog slurp down water. Isn't there a law against this? I will have to call the state and find out.....This is what I found out:. Rubio's Coastal Grill on W McDowell Road has sixteen pet-friendly outdoor tables, so you are welcome to bring your dog along. Rubio's Coastal Grill combines the fresh flavors from the sea, with Mexican dishes. The signature dish at Rubio's Coastal Grill is the Beer Battered Fish Taco, made with Alaskan pollock and a recipe that hasn't changed since 1983. Seafood is also stuffed into burritos at Rubio's Coastal Grill, with options like Salsa Verde Shrimp and Surf and Turf. For something a little lighter, try one of the Poke rice bowls. If you have a sweet tooth, you can try the Warm Cinnamon Churros or one of the freshly-baked Ghiradelli Chocolate Chip Oatmeal or Snickerdoodle Cookies. Please note that table service isn't available, so your dog will need to be tied up outside while you go in to order. In other words the management team failed me.
