I would say the food is more Indian inspired than Sri Lanka. As a Sri Lankan, some of the dishes can't be give those names. Like kiribath. That's a dish that has coconut milk. I didn't taste coconut milk at all. I tasted overcooked rice that was pan fried all around. That shouldnt be called kiribath. I was hoping it's actual kiribath that was pan fried( because that would be a twist to the original recipe. We don't fry the kiribath) The Sinhalaese prawn curry was yummy. The decor and the atmosphere was fantastic. Wish there were more parking spots too. The dessert options were not inspired by Sri Lanka of India. I was disappointed. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

I was enjoying my experience so much I didn't think to take pictures! I'm not going to lie, I've struggled with the food scene here in Seattle. I've been wanting to try Rupee Bar since I moved here a couple of years ago and finally went last night. I can now say this is one of my favorite restaurants I've been to in Seattle! Good atmosphere, great service, but that food... Every single dish was exceptional, amazing flavors, beautifully prepared, there was not one thing I didn't love. Oh and great drinks too!! Thank you for being such a delicious gem Rupee Bar!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $40–50 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection
