First time here, when I walked in the front door I didn't know if I sit and they come to you or what, so I went around the corner and asked lady at register if that was the only seating was up front, that's when she informed me I need to stand in the line, place my order, pay for it and then I can sit up front or outside. I chose chicken and dumplings, carrots,fried squash & strawberry pretzel salad. It was a nice day so I sat outside. For starters the chicken and dumplings were delicious! The carrots, well they were carrots and didn't seem to have any seasoning, the fried squash was cut very thin and was almost non existent under the breading,was not my favorite. The strawberry pretzel salad was off the hook delicious! I've never had that before,will definitely get again! Overall it was worth the drive from Huntsville for the chicken and dumplings and pretzel salad. Will definitely be back to try other foods. Staff was very friendly and helpful and outside was very pleasant seating. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great little place for country cooking. This your typical “Meat and 3” type place with a set menu for each day of the week. They also always have their standard menu that can be ordered from every day. Indoor and outdoor seating, and a casual atmosphere. This is one of my favorite places in Decatur. Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
