Everything you’d want for an authentic and local food spot. It looks like just a pub from the outside so glad we went in at the recommendation of our Airbnb hosts. It’s the opposite of an overpriced tourist trap in Funchal center. Food was excellent, large portions and warm people! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €15–20

After a morning exploring the Botanical gardens, we walked down to O Rústico and enjoyed one of the best meals we had on Madeira. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–15
