It is the best spot near Sacred Heart Church. The terrific service is another important advantage

My girlfriend and myself went to Ryans Bar this evening to have a good time and watch a football match. My gf got a coke and that was it. Around 30 mins after us getting there the bar man came up to us and said “Hey children come here. I don’t want people coming in here playing a few games of pool and a bottle of coke and then just sitting there to watch the match. I pay x amount on sky and I’m losing money if people are coming in here and not buying anything. “ my girlfriend and I ended up leaving after this as he made us feel ashamed and embarrassed. We are also extremely angry at the fact that pubs have gone like this. You can’t go into a pub just to have a chat or what ever but you can only go to a pub if you are buying drinks. It is absolutely unbelievable that pubs are having this mind set and for them to think more about making money that people’s health constantly giving people drinks getting them drunker and drunker to the point that they can’t even look after themselves. I am completely blowing away by this and I’m absolutely pissed off due to this. Things need to change in the world. This pub is an absolute disgrace and they should be ashamed for what they are doing to people. If you are going to a pub I would defiantly not go to this if you plan on just relaxing and having a chat and watch a game because you will be kicked out by the owner. Absolutely disgusting. Great pub with decent drink selection, sports on multiple TVs and friendly staff and regulars. They have a large pool room at the back too, and a jukebox. Good pint of Guinness too! Price per person: €1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
