Bad Food- only seafood- Service was also average! They charge you Double if y cant eat Any Kind of seafood! Also meat was cold- you get 10 Gramm meat for 12000 jen Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

While staying at the Banyan Tree Kyoto, the hotel in which Ryozen is housed, I was fortunate to dine at Ryozen several times. The kaiseki dinner was outstanding. It was more creative than a traditional Japanese meal, but still well grounded in Japanese ingredients and techniques. I dislike when Japanese haute cuisine leans too heavily into French tradition, and this one didn't. Thank you! I also enjoyed a breathtakingly beautiful sakura themed afternoon tea service, and two exceptional Japanese breakfasts. It was a lovely experience every time, and portions were generous - you won't leave hungry. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
