Quattro Canti can be on your route by default, the clients' piece of advice is to visit SCARPETTA. Take a break and order perfectly cooked spaghetti carbonara, lasagna and pizza. The chef at this place cooks good tiramisu. Cordial that you will try is delicious.

The restaurant is located at the junction of Quattro Canti which is a popular tourist spot and has a lovely street view. This evening, while having dinner, a tenor was singing and his voice filled the Quattro Canti benefitting all who were at the junction or seated at restaurants within earshot. Scarpetta is a small restaurant and appears to only have seating by the street and on a lovely May evening, that is the only place to be seated. We first ordered a Buratta su pesto as a starter. This was followed by Pasta alla Carbobara and finished with a Vanilla Gelato with Affogatto. The two best dishes were the Carbonara and Gelato. The spaghetti is prepared fresh in-house, cooked al dente and is slightly thicker than a standard spaghetti. The guanciale is salty and tasty and fried crispy. The dish is topped with pecorino cheese and the waiter will offer to add more cheese to suit the individual customer. The gelato is sweet, smooth and creamy and served with a shot of affogato. The menu actually suggests a pistachio sauce but I recommend the affogato to replace the default sauce. Service was good and attentive. We plan to return to this restaurant before we leave Palemo.
