This restaurant is recommended for the Japanese cuisine offered. Perfectly cooked pepper squid, crab fried rice and corn dogs have a good taste. Visit ShuTo to try good honey cakes, baked alaska and rice cakes. Delicious rose tea is the right choice.
Whenever you come here, you notice the terrific service. 4.2 is what this place received from the Google rating system.

I love this place! Their menu is a lot larger than most restaurants so you can easily go with a group of friends and find something that suits everyone. It's also in walking distance to cgv plaza so you can always grab a bite here and walk on over. The parking lot is huge and they have street parking as well.

This place has always been one of our favorite places even before covid. The food is yummy and the service is outstanding. They have variety of different foods and drinks so you wont starve in this place. After covid they set up searing outside and even then the service has been great. We love their noodles, sushi, sashimi and their salads. Thank you for an amazing food and service.

Another izakaya another day. These days there seem to be so many sushi places that open up around LA. Located next to the CGV plaza on Wilshire, Shuto Izakaya is neither one to avoid nor rave about. We came here for happy hour on a weekend. It was about 15 minutes before happy hour and the waiter was nice enough to seat us in time to put in our orders. The happy hour menu was a bit weak. Not much for options on the dishes and the prices were still a bit steep. We ordered the a couple of things but the the best one in my opinion was the pork belly with watercress. It was tasty with a sweet flavor. It was still $12 though during happy hour. We also ordered a grilled mackerel for $7 and chicken karate for $9. We had to make sure this was really the happy hour price. Both were okay. We also ordered the hand-roll combo and a couple of sushi options. Nothing really stood out, but at the same time, nothing tasted bad or un-fresh. I probably won't specifically aim to come back here, but it was a cool little spot to try once or twice. They have upstairs seating for more room and a parking lot in the back to park in.
