Alright, so this is actually my second time at Smashbox 1070, and I just gotta say — these people deserve some serious credit. The first time I went, I made the rookie mistake of ordering their really spicy chicken, and bro… I was suffering. Like, legit sweating, lips on fire, couldn’t even finish the second tender. I ended up tossing it because I was dying. But here’s the thing — the staff noticed. They saw me struggling and actually came over with free pudding and honey butter sauce to help me cool down. Who does that anymore? That’s some real hospitality right there. Fast forward to today — I went again, played it smart this time, and it was straight-up an out-of-body experience. The chicken is next-level. Crispy, juicy, perfectly seasoned — and you can tell it’s inspired by FRYZ. The Honey Butter Supreme and the Fryz sauce that comes with it? Unreal. Like, whoever came up with that combo deserves a medal. If I’m nitpicking, I’d say the pickles could be a bit saltier. I’m not really into sweet pickles — I feel like some Lebanese or Persian-style salty pickles would go absolutely crazy with that chicken. But hey, that’s just my personal taste. Price-wise, totally fair for what you get. The only small downside is that it’s self-service, which can feel a bit off for how good the food is. You can tell they’re busy though, and honestly, it’s clear the team puts all their energy into perfecting that chicken — so I can’t even be mad at it. All in all, Smashbox 1070 easily takes the crown for the best fried chicken in Vienna. No debate. I’ve tried a lot of places here, but this one? This is it.
