Heard there was like new ownership and genuinely tbf the atmosphere was fine. I ordered and it was p quick and they were nice but genuinely this place gets third place for the middest matcha I’ve had— starbucks is first place but its starbucks its not known for its matcha latte. Matcha is more grainy and bitter then I’d like it to be its not smooth and waterdown, its rather disappointing unfortunately, like I paid for green water with strawberry bits. Like I expected much more from how green it was and it simply did not go through— Price per person: $1–10 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Not super impressed, got the strawberry matcha and the strawberry was really overpowering, couldn’t really get a good matcha flavor from it. I’m also just not a fan of overly sweet drinks, so that could be why I wasn’t super impressed! Price per person: $1–10

I came here with their latest owners (late Jan), fairly close to closing. They happily served me. I ordered a chicken rice bowl with a fried egg. It's pretty good - they use chicken breast instead of thighs which most restaurants use, which are more difficult to cook right, which this one was. The egg was also perfectly cooked to a crisp, just how I like it. The owner and I had a fairly lengthy discussion - he was very adamant in asking what he could do to improve. I didn't get a drink because it was fairly late and cold, and I think the menu only shows cold drinks (for now!). I can tell you the owner is passionate about opening this restaurant / cafe, cares about the quality of his food, and is eager in taking feedback. I will be back to try their drinks and I hope to make this a staple place I frequent on the ave. I think there's a lot of bad reviews and they came in a transition period between Mama Viet's Kitchen closing to Snooze cafe opening to new management. I would try not to mind the bad reviews and give this place a go. Even if there's thing you don't like, I'm sure the new owners will listen to the feedback.
