I recently visited Warung Sodox Asam Pedas this weekend, hoping to enjoy a flavorful bowl of asam pedas, but to be honest the experience was far from pleasant. Right from the moment I stepped in, the lack of hygiene was glaringly obvious. Hundreds of flies hovered around the dining area, making it almost impossible to eat in peace. It was clear that cleanliness was not a priority here, and the restaurant’s poor maintenance made the entire environment unappetizing. As for the food, it was nothing extraordinary. The asam pedas tasted just like any other freaking mediocre version you’d find elsewhere, with no unique twist or standout flavors to justify the visit. Given the hype, I expected something more, but it was underwhelming at best. To make matters worse, the overall condition of the restaurant was unacceptable. Open air area, dead flies bodies everywhere including inside the dishes and an unpleasant tables and chairs made the experience even more disappointing. It was evident that the management had no concern for the well-being of its customers. With so many better options available, I wouldn't recommend wasting your time here. If you're craving asam pedas, there are far cleaner and more worthwhile places to visit. p/s : the restaurant condition are way worst than you could ever imagine making the only decision you want to make as soon as you arrive is to leave that freaking blotchy stall immediately.
