TLDR: Rented the hall for an event and owner drastically increased the price on us last second after we had agreed to a price, leaving us with no options. They kept the hall unbearably hot throughout event. Failed to uphold their responsibilities to clean up. Employees were rude and dismissive throughout the entire experience. Charged a very large surcharge without any explanation after the event. ——— My family rented this banquet hall for a special event, and unfortunately the entire experience left us extremely disappointed. When we first booked the hall, we paid the rental fee and agreed on a reasonable price per person. Then, just a few days before the event, the owner suddenly told us the cost would be an extra $10 per person. When we questioned it, they insisted that was the original price we had agreed to, which was simply not true. We confirmed that recent renters of the hall were given a price similar to the price we were originally quoted. Eventually, after expressing that we may have to turn to another vender with a more reasonable price, they agreed to reduce the amount by $3. At that point, with the event only days away, we had no choice but to move forward. On the day of the event, the food was ready on time, but the banquet hall was unbearably hot. It was the middle of summer, and the air conditioning clearly wasn’t set low enough. Our guests were visibly uncomfortable throughout the event, which put a damper on what should have been a happy occasion. The worst part came after the event. According to our agreement, the owners were supposed to clean up the venue so we could gather our decorations and head home. Instead, they disappeared for 20–30 minutes while they sat eating with other people. We waited, but eventually started cleaning the entire hall ourselves because we were exhausted and wanted to leave. They never came out to help with the cleanup, despite it being their responsibility. When the owners finally came back, we asked if they could at least pack up the leftover food. The owner’s response was simply, “No, we don’t pack up the food.” The attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. At the end of the event, they also charged a very large surcharge without any explanation again saying that it was previously agreed upon when it was not. Between changing the agreed-upon pricing at the last minute, keeping the hall uncomfortably hot, failing to fulfill their cleanup responsibilities, and treating us with disrespect, this was one of the worst customer service experiences our family has had. I would not recommend renting this banquet hall for any event. One star.

Imagine being really excited to try a restaurant you've never been to that seems to have great reviews but then showing up at 10 past noon on a Thursday to locked doors. That is what happened today when my husband and I arrived at Spicy Cuisine. We would have loved to try some delicious sounding Pakistani food but it was not in the cards. Our time and gas is precious and we're quite upset.
