On a moment’s notice, chef gladly accommodated to my vegetarian diet, with exquisite, locally grown, seasonal and less common vegetables, each individually and masterfully seasoned. My dining partner sang praises of the beef dish and the various seasonal and less common seafood. Everything was prepared with tremendous skill and sensibility of the chef trained in Italian and French. The quality and generosity of the ingredients were impressive. I didn’t plan to take more than a bite of the house-baked bread confidently served with no butter or oil, but I finished the entire piece with pleasure. Same with the fresh pasta, which would have offered ample pleasure in texture alone, had it not even been finely seasoned as it was. I’m seldom impressed with assortments of dainty little desserts, but I was pleasantly surprised by each piece lovingly flavored with depth and nuance. Service/personality was absolutely lovely. It’s a small space without much for views, but intimate and pleasant. It was a beautiful experience I look forward to repeating.
