Tried this place because of its popularity. Came here around 5.30pm and was told to come back around 30mins. We went to nearby supermarket and just as we came back, we got in. We didnt expect the size of each portion was huge. Salmon sashimi slice was half of my palm. The food was good. Tempura was so so. Miso soup is compliment and self service. Price per person: $400–600

Sunway, on the fringes of Ximending, comes highly recommended by YouTube influencers. The price is undeniably good: four people can eat their fill for just NT$1,600 (around £40). The sushi is generously sized—more gourmand than gourmet. The grilled fish is enjoyable, though prepared in a traditional style (not fully gutted or deveined). All in all, it’s a neighbourhood canteen with plenty of character. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

10/10 Food, Service & Atmosphere The food was amazing, definitely some of the best sashimi we’ve had! The salmon nigiri was HUGE, and the salmon belly was incredibly silky and tender. Portions were super generous, and the meal was very affordable. We also met the sweetest and most generous shop owner, which made the whole experience even better. Would definitely come back again!
