Stumbled across this place on Nishikikoji Street - it could be possibly my best find yet. The food was given in comfortably light portions and tasted amazing. The booze was quite worth the try, particularly the recommended apple cider. Cozy atmosphere, and Sueyuki, the owner, always seems open to a chat. Definitely looking forward to coming here again whenever I frequent Kyoto.
