Best steaks in vegas
It's ok...... No, it was phenomenal. One of the best steakhouses I've been to.
SW Steakhouse is a unique steakhouse because of the beefs they offer that are not available elsewhere in USA, i.e, the Kobe beef. Only three places in the USA have permission to import and serve Kobe beef. For YELPers who are not familiar with Kobe beef, do not mistake this for "Kobe-style" beef or "kobe" or any similar misleading claims/terms at restaurants. True Kobe beef is from Japan and the cattle are literally hand-massaged and feed beer and pampered to death to produce a meat that is unrivaled in quality and flavor. My brother and I chose the "cheap" Kobe which was 180 dollars for a four-ounce portion but my brother chose an additional two ounces at an extra forty-five dollars per ounce. I got the King Krab Oscar add-on and requested it on the side as not to interfere with the Kobe. The four-ounces was perfectly adequate amount due to its richness and flavor punch. It has a flavor profile all its own and doesn't remotely resemble any steak or meat you have experienced. Forget your dry-aged hand-rubbed Capitol Grille-type stuff -there is no comparison. Kobe is very rich and, needless to say, tender and the fat is evenly marbled and melted throughout to provide a highly distinct strong gamey taste and a supreme edibility. The Kobe was served with an Oriental-type sauce for dipping but I recommend eating the Kobe straight up or "neat" just as you would want to appreciate your Louis XIII Cognac straight up or neat as opposed to making an Incredible Hulk Cocktail using Louis XIII Cognac mixed with Hypnotic. The Oscar was a generous portion at 28 dollars and had asparagus and a hollandaise-type sauce. Moey got a steak which was an 8-ounce grass-fed organic USA steak for 62 bucks with a Maine lobster tail for additional 40 bucks which was a good size tail. Hers was very good and would satisfy any steak connoisseur. All steaks came with excellent veggies and sundries and were garnished with H2O 'cress. The service was great and it was reasonably quiet as it was devoid of families and toddlers. Our octopus app was tasty and tender (for an octopus) and had a slick presentation and ausum sauce. I would recommend SW highly. Please do spend the extra $$$ and get the Kobe beef and you'll see what the hype is all about. See you in Vegas, YELPers! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$
