Yoshoku Saeki feels like a modern yoshoku restaurant that attracts customers based on the quality of the food and service rather than the location. At weekends, it can get very busy, but during the week, it's much more relaxed. I arrived at around 11:30 and was able to sit down without waiting for long. The room is not the traditional dining room type. It feels slightly upgraded, almost bistro-like, with a clean, modern interior. Prices are still reasonable compared with those of famous old yoshoku shops, and the lunch sets make it easy to sample a variety of dishes. The fried lunch set offers the pleasure of viewing the kitchen from several angles. However, the demi-glace sauce felt more modern and processed than the traditional style. It had a strong ketchup flavour and was very thick. Some people may like that direct flavour, but it didn't feel like a deep, classic demi. Nevertheless, the restaurant has a certain allure.
