Love the store for its variety, cleanliness and location. However must you continue to charge 10 cents for a cheap paper bag that fails at its basic function of safely packing purchased product home. The paper bags often rip upon opening them up. Just because you CAN charge 10 cents doesn't mean you have to. At least with the plastic bags they could be used for other purposes,

Kinda odd that Reno has only 1 Safeway. In the PNW there's a plethora of this chain store. Higher priced than most grocery stores. Mailed coupons are either, not good deals, or not coupons, just advertisement. Nothing impressive from my p.o.v . It is what it is & isn't.

Update: The customer service made the situation right after the bbb was contacted and refunded the money as well as gave me a credit. I waited 23 days and shouldn't of had to contact the bbb for a resolution, but I am satisfied with the outcome. I hope im the future that the online shoppers will check dates. Thank you for my refund. I am extremely frustrated with this location and have already contacted the Better Business Bureau regarding this issue. On December 31st, I received expired meat and meat expiring the very next day, totaling $66, through grocery pickup. I immediately contacted customer service and was told by multiple representatives that a refund was being processed. I was even sent an email assuring me not to worry. It has now been over 15 days, and I still have not received my refund. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. In the past, I have also received expired milk and spoiled fruit from this same location. I chose not to complain at the time, but this pattern has become impossible to ignore. Receiving expired food,especially meat, is a serious health concern and completely unacceptable. On top of that, items are frequently missing from my pickup orders, including on that same day, forcing me to return to the store to pick up items I already paid for. While mistakes happen, expired food should never be given to customers. If I wanted expired food, I would shop at an outlet. I spend a significant amount of money at this store and expect basic food safety, accuracy, and accountability. If this is not made right immediately, I will continue warning others about the grocery pickup service, as I have received spoiled and expired items far too many times. This is wrong and deeply disappointing!! This store Manager is awesome! Store is clean, fast and friendly check out most of the time. I would have given 5 stars but unfortunately there is one employee whom is very discriminatory towards others particularly lower income individuals. I have personally witnessed it and was not OK with her remarks in regards to the young lady who was using a alternative payment. It is not her place to give her opinions about things like this nor will it ever be, her position is to provide a fast and friendly check out not degrade or belittle others as they walk away.
