Cozy place, excellent food and friendly, helpful staff. I have been their customer for years and there has not been once that I have been disappointed by this fantastic little place that brings a corner of Japan just a stone's throw from the center of Modena. I underline, because I realize that doubts might arise, that they don't have an all-you-can-eat menu, but know that it's worth every penny. What can I say? Spectacular. I was able to try some new dishes. It's not the usual Japanese restaurant we're used to. A la carte menu, and you can choose between octopus meatballs and seared tuna. A real treat! The place is very nice and with details that clearly recall Japan, but nothing too exaggerated. Young and kind staff! The only negative note, the desserts. Great experience! Attracted by the menu which was different from the usual Japanese restaurant, I wanted to have lunch in this place and I was pleasantly satisfied. The menu is large and well structured, the dishes are clearly described and it is impossible to go wrong. I was very impressed by the culinary offering, which actually adheres to true Japanese cuisine and does not rely on the usual standards of sushi, sashimi and rice. I tasted a very balanced miso tonkatsu and a spectacular miso broth! If I may allow myself a small note, I didn't particularly appreciate the rice: I found it overly cooked and tending to crumble. The udon on the other hand was perfect and probably the best I have ever tried. The place is welcoming and bright, the staff young, dynamic and helpful. Highly recommended!
