Come here for some rest after a long walk around Bergsingelkerk. All the clients adore wonderful Turkish cuisine at this restaurant. You can try perfectly cooked lamb and tasty mixed grill. In accordance with the reviewers' opinions, baklava is good. Most likely, you'll come back to Restaurant Sahlan later to taste delicious wine.

Restaurant Şahlan has been a staple in Rotterdam North for over a decade. It has a nice, unique atmosphere with their distinctive, decorative lamps. The staf is very friendly, it's almost like you're dining with family. The Kurdish / Turkish cuisine is quite tasteful. Some dishes have a more Middle Eastern flavour while others have more of a Mediterranean taste. When ordering food, they are quite flexible if you want to combine dishes or amend certain items. Even when they are very busy. If you are with three or more people, I would recommend to have them combine several dishes for the first course so you can share and sample many different dishes. Usually the service and kitchen is more than happy to comply. For the main dishes, the köfte / kofta, lamb and veal are all quite lovely. I recommend all of these dishes. In summary, I recommend visiting Restaurant Şahlan for a 'gezellige' dinner if you are craving Near Eastern cuisine and if you appreciate a familiair atmosphere.
