For a drink and listening to music in the evening or for a different morning meal on your sunbed is OK and is exactly what was missing from Theologos. But until there. The food, at least of the dishes tried, might be some of the worst I've tasted in many years, with completely indifferent flavors. With prices reminiscent of Mykonos, you definitely expect something quite superior in taste. The restaurant has done a good job of describing the dishes nicely on the Menu and taking good pictures but has failed miserably in their execution. Probably the chef who originally created these dishes did not learn them well from the actual cooks of the restaurant. Briefly about the dishes: - Shrimp Gnocchi €18 : rubber and flavorless gnocchi with tzatziki rosettes and unpeeled prawns with guts - Carbonara €14.80 : The guanciale wrongly cooked without rendering its fat in the pan where it then binds with the pasta starch and egg to make a flavorful sauce as well as wrongly cut without technique. Finally, the dish had minimal ground black pepper in the serving. So the result of the dish was a tasteless - cold al dente pasta with pure sliced fat. For almost €15, it was a disappointment. - Orange halloumi salad €12: A classic salad bag (maybe even half a bag according to the quantity that came) that we all find in the nearest supermarket, with too much citrus balsamic. Let's say because of the halloumi it was an ok salad but for a max price of 8-9€. - Fava beans with sun-dried octopus, caramelized onions and sun-dried tomato €19.5 (!!) : Perhaps one of the worst dishes I've tried. An unacceptable octopus (supposed to be dried but it was a special combination of stone and burnt rubber), "caramelized" onions or otherwise burnt onions in the pan without a trace of sugar or balsamic to caramelize. Sun-dried tomato unseen. - Ravioli with Parmesan cream and crispy prosciutto €18.00 A very nice dish, tasty and neat. The price, however, out of reality, but probably the only thing I would suggest to someone. In general, I would suggest for your food one of the nearby eateries on this beach or to go from the theologian's side and return to Saint John for your evening drink or afternoon coffee. Two stars for the excellent investment made in the space, for the neat electronic menu, for the ravioli and of course for the honest effort made to upgrade Theologos. Unfortunately, for our place that is famous for fine dining, this particular restaurant seems unable to live up to its entire menu and I think it would be better to remove some dishes and leave a few good ones. I hope in the future on a second try of different dishes I will have to completely change the review.
