Sakura Japanese Sushi Bar sits in a simple strip setting, nothing dressed up, nothing pretending to be more than it is. From the outside, it’s straightforward—lit signage, clean windows, a place you’d pass without thinking twice unless you knew what you were walking into. Inside, it’s the same story. Functional. Comfortable. Not built for show. But the food carries its weight. The sashimi stands out immediately. Hamachi and yellowfin tuna—clean cuts, fresh, and properly handled. No shortcuts there. The seafood seaweed salad follows the same line—balanced, cold, and done right. It’s not reinventing anything, just executing what matters. The rolls are solid. Not exceptional, not trying to be. They round out the meal without distracting from the fish. What defines the place more than anything is the pace and the people. The staff is young, moving quickly, attentive without hovering. There’s energy behind the counter and on the floor, and it keeps the whole place moving. And then there’s the price. About eighty dollars for two people to sit down and have a full dinner—sashimi, salad, rolls. That’s hard to find now. Sakura isn’t built on atmosphere. It’s built on delivering a good meal, efficiently, at a price that still makes sense. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2
