Sakuraya is a cozy, unassuming eatery located on Aoyama in Handa. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, the restaurant offers an array of delectable home-style dishes that include hearty options like simmered fish and okonomiyaki. Despite its limited online presence, diners consistently appreciate the variety and authenticity of meals available. Notably, the establishment features both counter seating and traditional sitting areas, catering to solo diners as well as larger groups.
The restaurant operates all week from 5 PM to 11 PM, making it an accessible dinner destination every day. Sakuraya stands out for its willingness to customize meals, offering patrons the chance to request off-menu items if ingredients are available. This flexibility pairs with a rotating selection of recommendations posted at the entrance, ensuring that there’s always something fresh to try. Patrons mention that access poses challenges due to the lack of wheelchair accommodations.
Though visitor insights suggest the food is worthy of returning to, the restaurant lacks comprehensive listings on many popular directories, aside from basic mentions elsewhere. There's an emphasis on personalized service and a casual dining experience, with alcohol options available for those who wish to indulge. Reservations are accepted, underscoring the intimate but potentially bustling environment, while the apparent invisibility in major directories points to an opportunity to explore this hidden gem.
