I recently visited a buffet that had been recommended by someone I know, and I went in expecting a good variety of food, decent service, and a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have ever had. From the moment I walked through the doors, it became obvious that this buffet did not live up to the expectations that a restaurant should meet. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness, or rather the lack of it. The floors looked like they had not been swept for hours, with bits of food scattered around the tables. Several tables still had dirty plates and cups sitting on them even though customers had already left. Staff members walked past them without making any effort to clean them, leaving new guests to search around the restaurant for somewhere reasonably tidy to sit. This immediately gave me concerns about how clean the kitchen might be if the dining area was already in such poor condition. The food itself was even more disappointing. A buffet is supposed to offer a wide selection of fresh dishes that are regularly replaced, but almost everything looked like it had been sitting under the heat lamps for far too long. The chips were cold and soggy, the pizza was dry enough to snap like a cracker, and the pasta had turned into one giant clump. Even the salad looked tired, with wilted lettuce and vegetables that had clearly seen better days. Many serving trays were almost empty, and instead of refilling them quickly, the staff seemed to ignore them completely. Customers were left waiting while staring at empty containers. The desserts somehow managed to be just as bad. The ice cream machine was out of order, several cakes looked dry around the edges, and the fruit appeared old and bruised. By this point, I had almost given up on finding anything enjoyable to eat. Even the drinks were disappointing, with flat fizzy drinks and juice that tasted watered down. The service certainly did not improve the experience. Staff members rarely smiled or greeted customers, and asking for help felt like interrupting them. When I politely mentioned that one of the food trays was empty, I was told it would be replaced "soon." Twenty minutes later, it was still empty. It felt as though customer satisfaction was not a priority at all. The restaurant also seemed understaffed, which only made the long waits and untidy environment even worse. The atmosphere was equally unpleasant. The restaurant was noisy, not because people were enjoying themselves, but because children were running around unsupervised while plates crashed in the background. Tables were packed so closely together that it was difficult to move between them, especially when carrying food. The lighting was harsh, and the overall décor felt dated and neglected. Considering the quality of the food and service, the price was incredibly difficult to justify. Buffets can be great value when they offer fresh food and plenty of choice, but this one failed on almost every level. Instead of leaving full and satisfied, I left feeling disappointed and wishing I had spent my money elsewhere. Overall, this was a buffet I would not recommend to anyone. Poor cleanliness, stale food, slow service, and an unpleasant atmosphere combined to create a thoroughly forgettable experience. There are many restaurants that offer much better quality for the same price, and I would strongly suggest choosing one of those instead. Unless this buffet makes significant improvements to its food, hygiene, and customer service, I cannot imagine returning in the future Best regards, Jesus. Price per person: €10–20
