This is a small, family-run business with a high turnover. In the time we've been there, we've seen three tables hosting new clients; given the size of the restaurant (8 tables all but one full by the time we arrived on a weekday), this was really reassuring about the popularity of the place. Further down the dinner, all my expectations have been confirmed with excellent freshly prepared food in excellent portions. For the first time ever since I've been eating in Indian restaurants, I was served food in the clay pot that I guess was used to cook the food in the oven. This could possibly explain the lengthiness with which we've been served, but again, the taste repaid the waiting time. The final surprise was the total bill, modest for what we ate, accompanied by a free shot offered by the owner. If you're passing by, just stop and eat at Salam Bombay.
