I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I had a really disappointing experience at Salata this afternoon. I came in with my 3-year-old and 5-year-old and ordered the kids meals we normally get. I was told they were out of the divided kids boxes, which immediately created an issue because my younger child needs separated food items. The whole purpose of the divided container is so ingredients like beets, mandarin oranges, edamame, and pesto chicken don’t all mix together, especially for picky young kids. I politely asked if there was another solution, and the manager suggested using the small black ramekins instead. The problem was that the portions in those cups were clearly much smaller than what normally comes with the meal. The manager herself even explained that each side of the regular kids tray normally receives two scoops, while the ramekins only realistically hold one. In other words, I was essentially being charged full price for noticeably less food. I even suggested using soup cups and simply not filling them completely so the portions could stay consistent, but instead of trying to work with me or offering any kind of compensation for the reduced portions, the manager became visibly irritated and walked away mid-conversation. I waited while several customers went ahead of me, all while trying to manage two hungry children, and the manager never returned. Another employee eventually completed the order using the ramekins anyway. At that point, I felt too frustrated and uncomfortable to continue arguing about it. To make matters worse, when I reached the register and asked for extra ranch after noticing there was as much as I normally get included, I was charged an additional dollar for it. The employee helping me rolled his eyes during the interaction, and overall the staff came across as cold and dismissive. What bothered me as well, wasn’t just the container issue, things happen. it was the complete lack of hospitality and customer service. No greeting, no attempt to accommodate the situation professionally, no kindness or patience toward a parent with small children. The entire atmosphere felt unpleasant and unwelcoming. I genuinely enjoy Salata’s food, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Unfortunately, after how I was treated today, I’m hesitant to return. I’ll most likely be reaching out to corporate management as well because this experience fell far below what I would expect from a restaurant that prides itself on customer service. The salad is delicious and the service is good. For just $1 more you can get the large bowl. That way you'll have leftovers for the next day. Just tell them to put the salad dressing in the side. There's so many vegetables, fruits, nuts, protein and dressing that you can put in the salad! Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I had high hopes for Salata, this was my second time visiting this week since Salad and Go closed. Unfortunately, I'm not sure it's going to work out. Picked up my salad today and when I got home I see that instead of mushrooms it had carrots. Not a big fan of very large sliced carrots in my salad. Other than that it's just a little pricey, but overall not bad. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3
