It was the perfect spot for an amazing lunch date with my husband in Troy. The aesthetics are immaculate! The look and vibe are so nice and cozy (even the bathroom is immaculate and fancy).The food is a certified 10/10 and a total masterpiece. The cheese katsu was fantastic and incredibly crunchy, and the bulgogi and yakitori were a huge hit. I was shocked because the textures and flavors are next level. They tasted exactly like the authentic meals I’ve had in South Korea and Japan. Major plus for anyone looking for allergy-friendly or peanut-free restaurants: my husband has a peanut allergy, and we were thrilled to find out their fried chicken is completely peanut-free ! Fried chicken was SO delicious. We were incredibly happy that we could have Korean style fried chicken. We are already planning our next trip back to try the ramen for our dinner date because it looks amazing! Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I stopped by Salt + Lite in Troy recently — it’s the rebranded spot from the former Salt + Soju. They’ve shifted more toward Japanese cuisine while keeping some crowd favorites. Overall, it’s a solid addition to Troy’s Asian dining scene. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Every dishes are great, especially the fried ones. The Don Katsu is really juicy. The taste is very authentic Japanese, not overly breaded or seasoned. My favorite is the chicken wings, which I was too busy eating to take a picture. The owner gave us free fries and free Japanese pickle daikon. I think it was because it recently changed owners switching from a Korean restaurant to a Japanese one, so they are not having many customers. Normally I only leave reviews when a business deserves avoidance. In this instance, I would like to help it more well known. Also, it’s a place of Japanese style fast food with Ramen, rice bowl and curry. There is no sushi. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
