Tried Salt & Straw in Coconut Grove and it was insanely packed when I went, but the staff handled it so well. Even though the line was long, it moved super fast because the team there is AMAZING. Everyone stayed calm, worked together, and the whole place still felt fun and exciting. Jose helped me and he was the best. I’m super indecisive and couldn’t pick a flavor, and even with the crazy line he was so patient and let me try a bunch until I figured it out. He never rushed me at all. I also saw the Tacolate and it looked SO good in person — the waffle shell dipped in chocolate with the ice cream inside looked like such a fun treat and everyone seemed excited about it. If you’re anywhere near Coconut Grove, it’s 100% worth stopping by. And honestly, even if you’re not, it’s still a spot worth making the trip for. Whether you’re an ice cream connoisseur or just someone who loves a good sweet treat, this place is definitely one to experience.

Favorite ice cream shop no contest . The flavors creative and change with the seasons, so every visit feels new. Even when the place is packed, the staff stays super helpful, friendly, and never judges you for sampling way too many flavors (we’ve tested this ). Huge shout-out to Jose !!the MVP—who explained every flavor like a dessert scientist and made the whole experience even sweeter. Give that man a raise!

As usual, love the ice cream and the decor. I dont usually leave reviews in this way, but I had an experience at Salt and Straw that did not feel matched to their typical customer service standards. I came in with my family on Friday night, and was being helped by a young man with facial hair and a red shirt who did not care about service. He was dismissive and rude, we felt rushed and uncared for. No greeting, no how are you guys doing. Just a “What do you want?!” and get out of my face demeanor to him. If your employees outwardly act like they don’t want to be there, then it makes us as customers feel extremely unwelcome too. It really stinks because we’ve come here before and have been helped out with so much care and attention, but this last time couldn’t even compare to the dozens of times I’ve been before. As a regular in the Cocowalk area, I would love to see some improvement. Thanks!
