I gotta say, I'm trying not to give them a one star as that could be devastating to a business right on the strip for tourism but wow, I dont know that I have ever had food so bland in my life. Like Hard Rock Cafe bland, or maybe worse. 4 stars on yelp by that many people, I assumed it would for sure be good. The food reviews are slim pickings around here so I figured it was great. Let me tell you, everyone is wrong. The food is so bland. The macaroni and cheese-bland. The lobster roll-bland. They did however, have a really good clam chowder (that was most likely not made fresh). I would say that food in general is not good in Lake George as this is not the only place I had bland food. Just cook food yourself and enjoy the activities and views.

Overpriced. Not as fresh as I would want a seafood place to be. We ordered a lobster roll and it was okay but not worth the price. Clam strips didn't taste overly fresh. French fries and chicken fingers were good but generic frozen kind. Very expensive and both times we passed after we ordered from there place was empty. This place needs work, a smaller menu, and fresher ingredients.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR A LOBSTER ROLL. As someone who relies on Yelp to guide me to good eats in new places, I can't recommend The Saltwater Cowboy based on my experience. I arrived at the counter, the young man took my order for a lobster roll, was asked if I wanted to add chips and slaw (additional $5 so I said no), rang me up (I got coins back from a $20, so it was $19 and change) and then yelled at a man who was on his phone in the doorway behind the restaurant to come in to cook. I sat down, and after about 2 minutes decided I wanted to get the sandwich cut in half. So I stood up, asked them to cut it in half and another man asked if I wanted my sandwich hot with butter or cold with mayo. If I hadn't stood up to ask about cutting the sandwich, would he have even asked? I chose hot with butter. To their credit, it took around 5 minutes to make my food, not bad. But then in exchange for my nearly $20 I was given a small to-go container with what equates to a single slice of bread and a tiny handful of lobster meat. The flavor was good because it was simple- lobster, butter, soft roll. BUT the sandwich was smaller than the $20 I used to pay for it. I left feeling a little ripped off, to be honest. I went hoping for a lobster roll lunch, and got what turned out to be 6 bites total. There might be better eats at The Saltwater Cowboy, but the lobster roll left a lot to be desired.
