Booked Samfu Restaurant expecting a nice air-cond Nyonya dinner… but ended up feeling hot through the whole meal.We had a very disappointing experience at Samfu Restaurant. As it was a public holiday, we made a reservation in advance for 2 adults and 1 child. We arrived on time, and the restaurant was not crowded at all. However, we were assigned a table right in front of the entrance, separated from the main dining area by a large cabinet partition behind us. This area had little to no air-conditioning flow, making it extremely hot and uncomfortable. We politely requested to move to a table inside the main dining area due to the environment, but our request was refused. An older lady wearing glasses responded with an unfriendly attitude, insisting that this was the only available table—basically implying that we could either take it or leave. When we made the reservation, we were never informed that we would be seated in such an area. We had travelled from another hotel and it was already dinner time, so we had no choice but to stay. The entire dining experience was very unpleasant—hot (due to the cabinet partition blocking the air-conditioning), stuffy, and with mosquitoes around. We specifically chose this restaurant expecting a comfortable, air-conditioned Nyonya dining experience, but it turned out to be the opposite. Overall, we are very disappointed with both the environment and the service. The food was nothing special, especially for the price. There are definitely better Nyonya restaurants offering a more comfortable dining environment. If this area is intended for dining, the restaurant should seriously improve it to ensure proper ventilation and comfort for customers. Enhance.
