Had a lovely early dinner here (at 7pm). The service was great - the best we’ve had in Cairo - and the restaurant was a surprising and pleasant escape from the noise and hustle of downtown. Being 7pm, the restaurant was not busy. The food was delicious with great flavours in each dish. We ordered the edamame and cucumber salad, honey carrot dip with pita bread (my husbands fave), the harissa and tamarind chicken skewers (my favourite), the roast beef sandwich, the tom kha Gai orzo (v close second fave) and a chocolate and peanut mousse with sorbet (more like a cheesecake and the sorbet is more like a granita). The drinks are also really nice - I got the celery and strawberry fermented drink (not a kombucha, it is like a soda). The food is probably expensive for some locals and the portions are small compared to what you can buy elsewhere but the quality is better than a lot of other restaurants I have been to in Cairo. The food is tapas style and prices are comparable to overseas pricing or slightly cheaper depending on where you’re from - we are from NZ). We had enough food to take leftovers home. Price per person: E£1,200–1,400 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian and some vegan options - but note that place is called seafood and milk for a reason.
