The best tacos in Tulum. Have you ever wanted to find a place that feels like walking into a family’s weekend barbecue. A place where you get to feel at home immediately? Santo Cordero is the best taco place in Tulum. A place you can come for a long and hot afternoon, kick your feet up, have a cerveza or pulche corado guayaba and just order tacos all afternoon. The chef and owner is so sweet along with the servers and pit masters. They truly love their craft. Cooking the lamb low and slow for 10-12 hours. Then keeping it warm and served over a continuous billow of smoke wafting through the restaurant. We need to see this place on the Michelin List. I generally don't eat lamb. I think I ate the most of the meat supply. It was covered outdoor dining and they had a playground for kids. Nana was even shredding the cheese by hand when we were leaving. I'd put HARD money on the fact that she made the tortillas too. Also!, the tortillas were Blue corn and fluffy! My partner makes good tortillas but not as great ! I held up my end but we almost didn't finish all the meat. We might return to the area just for this place.
