A local attraction - St Benedict's Church, which is situated near this restaurant, is a part of the original culture of the city. Vietnamese food is nice here. To try perfectly cooked broth, spring rolls and pepper squid is a truly good idea. Clients don't highly appreciate pancakes at Sapa Modern Vietnamese Restaurant.

Food delivery is an important benefit of this place. This spot scored 4.4 in the Google rating system.

3.5/5* The Feed Punchers visited the inner-city suburb of Ultimo, to tackle a northern Vietnamese eatery, going by the name of ‘Sapa Modern Vietnamese Restaurant’. All 3 of the founding Feed Punchers have visited the town of Sapa, eating with the local tribes. -The crispy chicken was true to its name, it had a light crunch in the skin, juxtaposed with a soft flesh. It was served with a Nuoc Cham, a well balanced sauce made from chilli, garlic, fish sauce, sugar, lime and vinegar. - The spicy noodle soup with beef had a rich broth which excited the punchers’ tastebuds. It contained the perfect mix of chilli:richly flavoured broth. -The salt and pepper chicken delivered a satisfying golden crunch, it was simple in terms of seasoning, as seen in the name. -The beef pho lacked the rich authenticity of flavours which a pho usually has, and instead was more bland with an unnatural sweet essence. -The salt and pepper squid impressed with its tender bite and amazing spice blend of bold pepper, garlic and hints of chilli. -Served with coconut rice, the braised pork belly with quail eggs was a favourite on the table. The tender pork bathed in a sweet, salty and spicy sauce left a smoky-bbq-taste in the mouth. -The Sapa chicken was unique, bringing out flavours of sour citrus and sweet honey in the fried crust. - The sapa beef carried a saltier essence to it than other dishes. Tender and mouthwatering, it paired well with the crunch of the capsicum. -The Beef Luk Lac featured stir-fried beef in a savoury glaze. It had a thick, creamy rich base hinting at soy and a touch of sweetness. -Overall, there was a great variety within this feed, some authenticity with beautiful flavours, some dishes leaving room for improvement with missing flavours.
